We are a friendly brass band established over 150 years ago, committed to playing a wide range of music, entertaining, having fun and keeping music live.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to experienced players and instruments can be provided.
Main band rehearsal every Thursday 7.30pm – 9.30pm
Development band every Tuesday 7.00pm – 8.00pm
How to find us
We practice at our bandroom in Tannery Drift, located at the far end of Tannery Drift School playing fields, close to the Fire Station.
Safeguarding and Data Protection
Royston Town Band believes that a child, young person or adult with care and support needs should never experience abuse of any kind. We have a moral and legal responsibility to promote the welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk and to keep them safe. We are committed to practice in a way that protects them. We have two trained DBS checked safeguarding officers and safeguarding processes that are reviewed regularly.
Royston Town Band is committed to a policy of protecting the rights and privacy of individuals, voluntary
and community group members, volunteers and others in accordance with The Data Protection Act
1998. The band will only share personal information between committee members or other official bodies
relating to contest registration. The band will not share personal data for purposes other than band business. When membership ceases, we will remove personal data from our records unless players wish to be contacted for occasional performances. Members are responsible for providing the band with the above personal data and informing us of any changes.
